My house is located in the settlement of Mazarakata where it dates from about 2000 BC. during the Mycenaean era. Proof is the tombs there, which were pointed out by the Swiss and the DE Bosset. Worth a visit. It is a great historical monument of Kefalonia’s culture.
From the front you can overlook the Castle of St. George which from the Middle Ages to 1757 (Venetian occupation), dominates the castle as a capital. Since then Argostoli becomes the capital.
Climb on and enjoy the sunset as spectacular sun dip in the blue waters of the Ionian Sea and the perfect moonlight. Breathtaking!!
